July 7

Michael Jerling

Often praised as a "songwriter's songwriter" who composes in styles influenced by the wealth of American music, Michael has been characterized as an artist who performs his "extraordinary songs with the uncommon ability to deliver them to an audience with power and grace."

July 21

The Mammals

The Mammals play old-time string band music the way Jack Kerouac wrote novels with an abandon born of a deep understanding of structure and form. Their sound is wild, mirthful, and masterful. Three young musicians, Ruth Ungar, Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, and Michael Merenda are rekindling folk traditions and passing them on to future generations. The Mammals rouse their audiences with contemporary versions of traditional old-time fiddle and banjo melodies, ballads and original lyric-driven songs. Check out The Mammals, the trio that fans, young and old, are calling a stringband for today."

July 28
