July 18 - Joey Thomas Big Band

A newcomer to our concerts, the group focuses on the original arrangements as recorded by the hit makers of the Big Band Era and also uses the talents of Charlie Dana, a trombonist, who arranges, copies and conducts.

It’s Afro-Cuban jazz . . . You’re putting congas and timbales and bongos on top of the jazz. It’s the marriage of those two things together that makes it very interesting and exciting!
