Over the past five years Troy has been gaining international recognition for art and music that is fresh and exciting, accessible and fun. Musicians David Last, The Jesse Stiles 3000, Seth Cluett, and DJ Back from Japan with styles ranging from dub to cut-ups, breakbeats to mash-ups, and synth-pop to hip-hop will feature live visuals from lmnopf, skfl, and fielderblank. Fuses hot Latin rhythms with the cool sophistication of jazz improvisation. Their repertoire ranges from Cuban folk songs to the music of Chick Corea including styles from Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Trinidad, and Brazil. The band also performs a wide variety of unique original music composed by members of the band. While Sensemaya can cater to the intimate jazz listener, its true purpose is to keep an audience up and dancing through the night. |
