Troy is near the hub of the region's interstate-highway system, and is a couple of miles north of the local Amtrak station.

Several inter-city buses serve Troy

and neighboring cities. The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) provides extensive public bus service within Troy and to surrounding cities.

Several taxi companies operate within the region. The Albany County Airport is located a few miles south west of Troy, as well. The Downtown hotels provide courtesy transportation service to guests, enabling them to get to the train station, airport or bus terminal.

One of the best features of Downtown Troy is that everything is within walking distance. Most shops, parks, and transportation centers are within five city blocks of each other.
