Why Troy?

Prev Next

Why not? Troy and its people have a lot to offer. Its history and culture are rich and its future has never been more promising. There are a surprising number people in Troy who regularly seek to improve the city; through public works, assisting others and by merely living and shopping here. This WWWeb site is one such effort.

Cost of Living
Housing, Food, Transportation, other Goods and Services are competitively priced.

Transportation
Troy is at the cross-roads between New York City, Montreal, Boston, and Syracuse -- with Buffalo and the Great Lakes region not much further west.

New Businesses
Special New Business listings. There is a tech park and there are a few incubator centers that offer affordable office space, shared administrative support, and special opportunities not otherwise available to small business owners.

Weather
The Hudson River Valley climate and micro-climates have drawn millions of immigrants to Troy. The hills and mountains to the east and west protect the valley from severe weather. While Troy is not a tropical paradise, it is less humid than more southerly regions during the summer and less snow-bound than more westerly regions during the winter.
