Uncle Sam Postage Stamp Uncle Sam abounds in Troy, of course, but soon he'll be found everywhere. The United States Post Office will be issuing a new stamp in honor of Uncle Sam, and Troy is honored to serve as the host for the first day of issue. This is a very special occasion -- especially for you philatelists and Uncle Sam buffs -- so plan to be at Franklin Plaza on Monday, November 9th at 10am for the introduction of the new Uncle Sam stamp and three other new stamps.
