Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Concerts for Young People - For Ages 6-13 The series includes concerts by some of today's finest classical, jazz and folk musicians. Held on weekdays to facilitate attendance by school groups, and weekends to encourage family participation, the series will open its 1999 series on Friday, February 12 with a special concert by Pinchas Zukerman. The world-renowned violinist, who has more than 100 recordings and 20 Grammy nominations and awards to his credit, will be accompanied by pianist Marc Neikrug. The series continues on Friday, March 26, 1999 with jazz pianist Marcus Roberts. The noted instrumentalist and educator, who began his career with Marsalis' septet and broke out to solo stardom, will explore the work of legendary bandleader and composer Duke Ellington. The series will conclude with fall and winter/spring concerts featuring some of today's finest folk and traditional music artist performing special programs for families.
