March - Junior Museum Activities

The Junior Museum wil sponsor the following activities throughout the month of March 1999. Most activities are included in the regular cost of admission. Admissio is $3 per person during the week, $4 per person on weekends, holidavs, and during school breaks. Children under two and Museum members are admitted free. The Junior Museum located at 252 Fifth Ave, Troy, and is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 5 pm.

Family Fun Activity: Clothespin Butterfly
Butterfly wings of paper will flutter in the breeze, just gather in the center and give a squeeze of the clothespin. (Included with the regular price of admission.)

Family Fun Activity: Colorful Kites
With paper and lots of string, you can build a kite. Color it with markers, and it will look just right. (Included with the regular price of admission.)

Family Fun Activity: Handprint Paperweights
Spread your fingers open wide, then press them into clay. What a pretty print they make, when you take your hand away. (Included with the regular price of admission.)

Super Science Spectacular: Owl Pellet Dissection
Can you guess what our owl had for lunch? See if you can figure it out as our youth staff assists you in dissecting one to reconstruct the clues. (Included with the regular price of admission.)

March 29, 1999 / 2 performances, 9:30 am and 11:30 am


Pre-school through grade 2
Crabgrass Puppet Theatre in Just So Stories; How the Camel Got Its Hump, How the Rhino Got Its Skin, and How the Camel Got Its Hump
Performance at Hudson Valley Community College. Tickets $5 per person. Special incentives for groups. For reservations or more information, please contact The Junior Museum, 235-2120.
