Volunteers Needed

This year, 1999, at the brink of the millennium, in April, the Troy Public Library will publish its 1000th book in the Childrens' Writer's Workshop! If you like working with children and enjoy the writing process, consider helping in the workshop. Volunteers help young people focus on topics, develop their ideas, and revise and layout their stories in picture book form.

A brief orientation with written materials will be provided. Volunteers work with about four or five children and may help at any or all sessions. If you are a parent, your children who meet age requirements can be automatically enrolled in the workshop.
