Pioneer Savings Bank Makes $15K Gift To Junior Museum The Junior Museum announced today its receipt of a $15,000 gift toward its capital campaign from Pioneer Saving Bank. The gift will be used to create a sculpture to greet visitors as they approach the entrance to The Museum's new facility, which is scheduled to open next year. "Pioneer Savings Bank is especially interested in being involved in the educational growth of our children," says John Scarchilli, president and chief executive officer of Pioneer Saving Bank, "It is why we are so proud to support the Junior Museum." "The generosity of the Pioneer Savings Bank gift, as well as the support of Pioneer's leadership, has been vitally important to the success of our project," says Ralph Pascale executive director of The Junior Museum. "Support at this level shows the bank's institutional commitment to the children and families of the Capital Region." Since 1889, Pioneer Savings Bank has been a strong local community bank serving the Capital Region. The Junior Museum was founded in 1954 to provide hands-on learning experiences for children in science, history, and the arts. Currently located in North Troy, the Museum is renovating the historic Winslow Building on 8th street in downtown Troy into a state-of-the-art museum for the Capital Region.
