RCCA's New Name

The Rensselaer County Council for the Arts (RCCA) announced that its has a new name, The Arts Center of the Capital Region. RCCA was founded in 1961 and has grown to become a diverse arts institute reaching well beyond Rensselaer County. The new name reflects the growth and expanded mission of the organization.

The new name coincides with RCCA's move to its new location in the next few months. The new location, at 261-271 Rivers Street in downtown Troy, NY, will include a much expanded exhibition space, a store, a 100-seat performance space, dance studios, meeting facilities, and more classroom space.

On November 21st at 3pm the Arts Center will host a farewell party at the "Old Arts Center" (189 2nd Street, Troy).
