NYSTI's A Wonderful Life Benefits Center For Disabled 274-3200 The NYS Theatre Institute's hit musical A Wonderful Life will benefit the Center for the Disabled Family of Services during the holiday run of performances November 28 through December 17. NYSTI will donate a significant portion of ticket sales for evening and weekend performances to the Center. The total amount will be presented by NYST January 9 during the Center's annual telethon, airing from 10 AM to 7 PM on WTEN, Channel 10. A Wonderful Life was created by Broadway luminary Sheldon Hamick (Fiddler on the Roof, Fiorello!), who wrote the book and lyrics, and the late composer Joe Raposo (Sesame Street, The Electric Company). The full-stage musical is adapted from Frank Capra's film It's a Wonderful Life. Directed by Patricia Di Benedetto Snyder, the production was first performed by NYSTI last season to widespread acclaim from audiences and reviewers alike. The Center for the Disabled provides complete medical, clinical, educational, residential, respite, and support services to more than 18,000 individuals with disabilities and their families, from 30 counties, at more than 60 locations. 155 River Street, Troy, NY 12180 In cooperation with Troy United Ink Corp., a not-for-profit corporation |
