Junior Museum To Offer Hands-On Chanukah Workshop When: Sunday, December 5, 1999, 11am - Noon The Junior Museum will offer a Chanukah workshop on Sunday, December 5th, 1999. At the hour-long, workshop, children will hear the story of the festival of lights from Fran Waldman of United Jewish Federation. In addition, children will learn and sing traditional holiday songs. and create their own menorah and dreidel to take home. Leo's Bakery will provide kosher refreshments for the program, which is also sponsored by The Jewish World. The workshop is geared for children ages 3 and up and cost $5 per participant, which includes admission to the museum. The workshop will be held at the Junior Museum, 282 Fifth Ave., Troy (at the intersection of 106th St.) To register, call The Junior Museum at (518) 235-2120. The Junior Museum, founded in 1954, provides hands-on earning experiences for children in science, history, and the arts. Currently located in North Troy, the Museum is renovating the historic Winslow Building on Eighth Street in downtown Troy, to a state-of-the-art museum for the Capital Region.
