Troy Public Library's Troy Calendar 2000

274-7071

Back by popular demand! Once again, the Troy Public Library is offering for sale a local history calendar featuring text, photos and line drawings from the library's extensive Troy Room collection. The 2000 edition is off the press and ready for sale. The calendar contains some of Troy's most significant scenes and events, as well as some lesser known dates and stories of interest. The library's staff began work on the 2000 calendar last spring and spent many hours in the Troy Room at the Main Library searching through both primary and secondary source material.

The calendar has two primary purposes according to Paul Hicok, director of the Library. It demonstrates the rich history of our city as seen through the Library's comprehensive local history collection, and it raises funds for the operation of the Library.

The 2000 calendar will be for sale at the library and its branches and at various retailers throughout the area for $10.00 or you can order directly from the Library at 100 Second Street, Troy, NY 12180. Please add $1,50 for shipping and handling.
